MONTREAL FASHION WEEK F/W '11 - THE SHOWROOM
Visiting the Montreal Fashion Week Showroom is such a great experience, you get to interact personally with designers and shop their latest collections before they even hit the stores! Philippe & I, had such an adventure meeting talented Montreal designers, we had the chance to learn about fabric sourcing in Quebec, discuss the Montreal Fashion Scene and learn about the inspirations behind their collections!
At the Montreal Fashion Week Showroom…
Ben et Diction! Ben et Diction’s collection is amazing, the mastermind behind this collection is a force to be reckoned with! These jackets are made out of stainless steel fibre which is very intriguing and easy to maintain! I definitely think these are substance items to have in a wardrobe, it’s funky, unusual and very urban euro. I loved the fur lining in this jacket!

Schwiing! Schwiing is such a unique line! The designer couple behind this label travel around the world to spicy places like Rajasthan, India to source their fabrics. Schwiing is unconventionally urban and will always leave people asking “Where did you get that?” Here is my selected Schwiing favorite!

Nicole & Co. Philippe & I, absolutely fell in love with this raccoon tail headband and decided this item had to be purchased! Nicole & Co. makes the cutest accessories, from berets to headbands, you can find eccentric items to upgrade any outfit! They also make customized accessories and can be found in Montreal, New York, Paris & Tokyo!

ça va de soi! ça va de soi is a contemporary line based on quality, comfort and simplicity. They are known to have the most beautifully fabricated knits! If you are looking for that signature must-have cardigan or great egyptian cotton leggings, "ça va de soi" has it! Known as a family business, I had the chance to chat with the brother and sister duo, I was astonished...he recognized me from a magazine shoot I did 2 years ago!
