Mercedes Benz Fashion Start Up

The Mercedes-Benz Fashion Start Up is a national initiative to discover and mentor up-and-coming Canadian fashion designers. Ottawa’s best tastemakers attended the runway show at the lavish Mercedes Benz location to witness the fashion creations of 6 chosen semi-finalists. An impressive panel of judges including Patricia Gajo, Regional editor of FASHION Magazine and Robin Kay, President of the Fashion Design Council of Canada, pulled together their scores concluding in a tie between designers, Christopher Bates and Caitlin Power who will both move on to finals at the World MasterCard Fashion Week in Toronto and compete against finalists from neighboring Canadian cities.
